Brigadier General Faulconer describes his background in Greensboro, N.C., his enlistment in the Guilford Grays National Guard company in 1916, recruiting assignment at Marion, N.C., a manhunt in the mountains of N.C., duty at Forts Caswell and Eustis after W.W. I, career as an official with the Atlantic and Yadkin and the Southern railroads, and service in France during World War II in command of railroad operations.
